Peter Charlton presents The Siege of Troy

Written, designed and originally performed by Guy Richardson, this production comes from the Toy Theatre stable, though it is a giant version of that style of puppetry and, instead of the action being housed in a cardboard theatre, sits on an old wooden cart. The ancient, and tragic, tale of the siege and fall of the ancient city of Troy "as taken from all the best Greek authors", is performed in Victorian fairground style by a somewhat down-at-heel "professor" and his young assistant.

The play is written for an adult audience, lasts approximately twenty minutes and, when performed at the Greenwich Millennium Dome, was described by The Times reporter as "the show I enjoyed most in the entire bloody Dome!"
It is possible for this to be performed in tandem with St George & the Dragon.
