The Body Show

A twenty minute rod, glove & marionette show for 4-7 year olds, celebrating the human body!
HANDY SONG, also known as "One day a hand went walking", gets the show off to a lively start, as two hands meet, take a walk together and end up having a dance.
They are followed by FOOTNOTES, or "Stand up let's hear it for feet", once danced to by the great Roy Castle on "Record Breakers", but was written for, and first performed by Brian Cant on "Play Away". In this show it is performed by a pair of feet!
NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT MY CARES & NOBODY CARES ABOUT MY NOSE is a nosey little number sung by "Nosey Joe", a man with a runny nose!
A GALE OF HOWLING TEETH features a dentist who gets just a little too down in the mouth. MISTER BONES brings the show to an end by shakin' his stuff but, eventually, pulling himself together.
TINKER, TAILOR..... This show can be extended by including this fifteen minute story of Charlie and the cherry stones. Charlie counts the cherry stones, using the old rhyme "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor, Rich man, Poor man, Beggarman, Thief - aided and abetted by a friendly pigeon, he visits the first four characters in the rhyme, trying to decide what he wants to be when he grows up. (Story written by Peter Charlton, puppets made by Mel Myland at The Puppet Workshop, Scenery by Paul Goddard, Musical accompaniment by Mark Reader)
